Saat wawancara eksklusif dengan majalah Hello, dia mengungkapkan bahwa dia memang sangat terobsesi dengan tema gothic. Selain itu, dia juga ingin menggelar pernikahan yang spektakuler.

"Aku terobsesi dengan kastil dan aku juga suka sekali dekorasi Perancis dan nuansa gothic. Aku menemukan kastil ini dan aku merasa ini sempurna," ungkapnya seperti dilaporkan oleh Daily Mail.

Selain itu, Avril juga ingin menyuguhkan pengalaman gila untuk para tamunya. Dia berharap pernikahannya dengan Chad takkan pernah dilupakan tamu undangan.
